JASON WU FOR TARGET IS HERE
(or at least it was here)!!
Target's latest collab with Jason Wu was released yesterday and is already almost sold out!  Since I live in Hollywood and saw the masses that showed up for Missoni madness last fall, I decided to go to my mom's local Target in Torrance to get some pieces of the action.

I arrived at 7:55AM and noticed the doors had opened five minutes early!  I rushed inside and heard the commotion in the clothes department.  I walk-ran to the sounds of my fellow fashionistas and found at least 25 women of all ages gathered around the Wu racks arguing with each other about who saw what first and telling each other to "stop pushing"!  I didn't think people would be going this wild for Wu, but after seeing the styles, designs and quality of most of the items, I totally get it.  I grabbed whatever items I could find in my size, checked out and raced to my car to hit some more Targets!

So four hours and five Targets later, I ended up with the Cap-Sleeve Pleated Blouse in Blue, Blouse with Tie in Blush Dots, Short-Sleeve Tee with Tie in Cream,  Sleeveless Chiffon Dress in Navy Floral, the Trench Coat, the Cat Print Tee and the Cat Print tote!  I wanted the Poplin and Flared Dress (in either color) more than anything, but store workers said people who got there at 4AM scored those.  I'm not bummed since I still scored pretty well through my crazy efforts and driving (with my thanks going out to the Superbowl and traffic gods for keeping the streets wide open!).

Here are some awful webcam pix of yours truly modeling my finds:
I love this top and the feel of it, but I it wrinkles way too easily!
I liked this top a lot too, but the sleeves were a bit snug so
I better cut back on my Mickey D's if I wanna wear it!
I really wanted this trench so bad, but could only find a medium.
The fit is a little too big, but its still super flattering and super cute!
I like this dress, but I didn't love it because the chest area looks a
little weird.  I may keep it but wear a thicker belt with it.
I'm definitely returning this blouse, it was not flattering and
very uncomfortable for my "athletic" arms and in the bust area.
I will definitely be keeping these beauties even though the tee does
wrinkle too easily!  I know the kind lady and her daughter aren't
reading this, but I want to thank you again for offering me
my dream tote!  :)
This was another lovely item I wanted.  I'm surprised its not sold out
yet because its so adorable, versatile and looks as good on us
humans as it does on hangers and 90-lb models!

Sooooooooooooooooo what did you get?  I'd love to see!  Please send me your bloglinks! :)

  1. Wow you look way better in your pieces than I did. I think you had to be tiny to pull those Jason Wu looks off lol. Good job!

  2. Thank you so much Tami!! :) You're too sweet, but I gotta give all the credit to my posing at an angle instead of straight on. hehe I thought the pink and black & white dresses looked really nice on you, but I can understand how fabric quality and length would keep you from buying the dresses. I tried on the pink one over my clothes (one of the Targets I went to wouldn't allow anyone to try any Jason Wu stuff on in the fitting rooms!) and omg it looked terrible on me and was way too long.

  3. What great finds! I'm so impressed that you were able to find so many items before they were sold out. My favorites on you are the blush tie neck shirt and the trench coat :)

    1. Thank you so much! I ended up hitting seven Targets in two days. I still want that poplin dress, it'd be awesome if Target did a best of collection again, but I'm thinking that won't be for at least a few more years... Did you score some Wu goodness? :)
